Restore from Interbase 2009 to Interbase XE fails [Edit]
Hello, I have restored .ib file to Interbase XE from Interbase 2009 .gbk file. Restore was successful but IBConsole does not let me to open it with error message: 'Attempt to execute an unprepared dynamic SQL statement' What could cause this? I did not execute any SQL. I have been using Firebird for years howerver now I'm employed in a company using Interbase. Our software is written in Delphi 7 and currently we are running with Interbase 7.5 (via DBexpress), however in order to prepare our software to run on Vista we are trying to make it run with Interbase 2009 (Desktop Edition). Hi , I could not find the answer to my question anywhere hence posting it. I have an a huge application written in Delphi 5.0 with using interbase 5.5 and BDE Links. Hello, I am using Interbase 2009 to go edition licensed, and it works great with the IBConsole. I mean I can create new databeses, explore the tables, etc.. The problem is that when I try to do an application with C++ Builder 2010 and IBX components the connection to the database fails and I get the 'unavailable batabase' error. Interbase 2009 will not Commit [Edit]
I have written a desktop application in C++Builer(xe) using VCL components - and have successfully used Interbase components to update records in the various tables... The IBTransaction components for each table have the 'Default Action' set to 'TACommit' BUT - the tables will not commit changes to records unless I exit the application. Hi, I'm receiving wrong results from my locally installed IB2007 Developer installation. Short description: 2 Tables named more_items and less_items, both only one column, more_id and less_id. The table more_items has 12 lines: 1 2 3 6 7 8 11 12 13 16 17 18 The table less_items has 6 lines: 1 2 3 11 12 13 Query: select * from more_items left join less_items on more_items.more_id=less_items.less_id This Query works fine. Interbase developer licenses and keys in RAD Studio 2009/2010
When I got my product DVD for Delphi 2007 (RAD STudio 2007) it included a key for Interbase 2007. The DVD for Delphi 2009 (RAD Studio 2009) included the installer for interbase 2009 SMP, but no key was included on the SA upgrade. Is that intentional? Is there a developer license still for interbase 200X if you buy RAD2009/RAD2010? Warren These licenses should be included. It is not clear to me why they are not for you. However, they are free. Hi all I am trying to implement Interbase synchronous events. From the little documentation that there is on the DBD::Interbase implimentation of IB events I have seen that it is very similar to Delphi. (1) Register your interest and obtain a ref to an event handle. (2) Call ib_wait_event to wait for a synchronous event fired from the database.
